How Devslab collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information across our website, products, and talent network.

Last updated: 9 August 2026

1. Who we are

Devslab Ltd (“Devslab”, “we”, “us”) is a software engineering company headquartered in Kigali, Rwanda, with operations that also serve clients in the United States and elsewhere. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use www.devslab.io, contact us, join our talent network, or use products and services we operate.

If you have questions, contact us at privacy@devslab.io (or hello@devslab.io for general inquiries).

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated when you use our sites and services.

  • Contact details such as name, email address, phone number, and company name when you fill out forms or email us.
  • Talent network profiles: skills, experience, CV/resume files, portfolio links, availability, preferred engagement types, and related application details.
  • Account information for products or admin portals we operate (for example login email and authentication data).
  • Usage data such as pages visited, device/browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, and referral URLs.
  • Communications you send us, including support requests and project inquiries.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide software engineering, product, and consulting services.
  • Operate and improve the Devslab website, products (including SitBites, Gemura, Orora, and future products), and related systems.
  • Review talent applications, screen candidates, and match profiles to client engagements under Devslab delivery standards.
  • Send service-related messages (for example application status, account invites, or password resets).
  • Protect our systems, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Analyze aggregated usage so we can improve content and user experience.

4. Legal bases and sharing

We process personal data where needed to perform a contract or take steps at your request, where we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing our business, where you have consented (for example optional marketing), or where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Service providers who help us host infrastructure, send email, store files, or process payments, under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
  • Client organizations only when you are being considered for or assigned to an engagement, and only to the extent needed for that opportunity.
  • Professional advisors or authorities when required by law, dispute resolution, or to protect rights and safety.

5. CVs, talent data, and retention

If you submit a talent profile or CV, we use that material to evaluate fit for Devslab and client projects. You can request updates or deletion by emailing privacy@devslab.io (talent inbox: careers@devslab.io), subject to any legal or contractual retention needs.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including security, dispute handling, and legal compliance, then delete or anonymize it where practicable.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies to operate the site. Non-essential cookies (preferences, analytics, marketing) are used only with your consent via our cookie banner. You can change choices anytime in Cookie settings. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

7. Security and international transfers

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure; please use strong unique passwords for any accounts we provide.

Because we work across Rwanda, the United States, and cloud providers that may store data in other countries, your information may be processed outside your home country. We take steps designed to protect it consistently with this policy.

8. Your choices

Depending on applicable law, you may be able to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data or delete data we no longer need.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

9. Children’s privacy

Our services are directed to professionals and organizations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact privacy@devslab.io and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of our sites or services after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
